With our clear bent toward engineering, we tend to forget the importance of Marketing. The engineer in us, says build a quality product, and it will sell itself. I suppose if that were true, we would not have to sit through all those ads on TV. Anyway, to overcome this shortcoming of ours, we teamed up with the folks at Current Pleasures, who have been busy this Spring taking our Centipede 416 to shows and demonstrating it widely. In many ways this can be a bit nerve wracking to an engineer, but apparently the “build it and they will come” is not completely true, at least not in a timely manner. Turns out, People need to see it, and since the Centipede is not really an impulse buy, they need to think about it as well.
