I’d like to announce what may be the first Centipede 416 “custom ROM” – the Electron Spin Edition of v1.25. I’ve been tinkering with this off and on for the past few months and I think it’s ready for release.

I’m afraid I have no iDevices to test against, but I do leave the important controller aspect legacy links available. I’d highly recommend you create a fresh image of the 2.15 software and install against that instead of risking your only SD card with software from some random dude on the Internet.

Most of the changes are to improve the security of a hardwired Centipede installation with remote access. So things like changing passwords, disabling WiFi, and configuring a more secure SSH server are added (as well as better skinning and theming). However my favorite feature is building in support for the anonymous Tor network. You can now put your sex toy on the dark web, allowing end-to-end encryption to securely connect anyplace on the planet (except maybe China) – making the Centipede 416 perhaps the most secure and geeky adult toy in the world.
